I'm blessed to have a wealth of amazing musicians to call on for recording projects. The fact that they're all either family or good friends makes it all the more special!
Jeff Beckstrom
Drums & Engineering -- My day-job partner-in-crime, and a heckuva drummer, musician, composer, and owner of an exceptional set of ears. When Jeff says it needs fixing, I fix it!
Dr. Biscotti
Guitar -- Guitarist, singer, songwriter, thespian, scholar, teacher, curmudgeon... I've been hanging around this guy longer than either of us can count!
Erin Blood
Vocals -- Possesed of a sweet alto with just a bit of a tear in the corner and a great ear for the blend. Makes me very proud daddy for any number of reasons... and as we all know, family harmonies are the best!
Chris Carlson
Guitar -- Amazing, long-time guitarist for the Duffy Bishop Band, ace songwriter, and co-creator of the inimitable Guitar Outlaws.
Paul Elliott
Fiddle -- Old time, jazz, country, bluegrass, and just about anything else, Paul plays it all with taste and inspiration.
Lance Haslund
Upright Bass -- Besides being my first call for acoustic bass, Lance is a fine, versitile guitarist, songwiter and singer. Lance and his wife, Laurie, run one of the best house concert series in the Seattle aresa.
Piper Heisig
Percussion -- She plays: percussion, bass and almost everything else, sings with a rich, soulful alto, hears as well as anybody, and is simply made of music.
Mark Iler
Harmonica -- Guitarist, harmonicat, singer, songwriter, NW folk scene icon, sideman deluxe and one of the best sound engineers, anywhere.
Mary Maass
Fiddle -- A wonderful fiddler with an encyclopedic konwledge of tunes, and one of the sweetest singing voices I've ever heard.
Jeanne Blood Medalia
Vocals -- The pitch-pure soprano of the family. Hears all the harmonies, but Erin and I usually make her sing lead. Also makes me very proud daddy -- and granddaddy! Yep... love those family harmonies!
Tom Rawson
Banjo -- Master of the long-neck and folk singer extrodinaire. Tom packs a banjo, dozens of banjo jokes, and hundreds of sing-along songs, and he's not afraid to use any of 'em!
Gary Sparling
Bass -- Gary and I have been playing together in various bands since the late '80's, and I never cease to be amazed by his precise, inventive and incredibly melodic bass lines. Playing with Gary makes my job easy!
Joe Weihe
Drums -- Another guy I've know for a couple of decades, a great songwriter, guitarist, singer, and BTW, happens to swing hard on the brushes and traps. And oh yeah... Joe doubles as my brother, Grouchy Grump -- so shuddup already, will ya!
